FAQ
Common questions, clear answers.
What is Quick ITIN Connect?
Quick ITIN Connect is a public directory of IRS Acceptance Agents and Certifying Acceptance Agents (CAAs), operated by Financial Connect CPA PLLC. Search by city, compare agent types and request a private introduction. Only the IRS assigns ITINs.
Who assigns an ITIN?
Only the IRS. Quick ITIN Connect introduces prospective clients to independent providers. It does not determine eligibility or promise outcomes.
Is the W-7 sent online?
No. Providers prepare and review packets for the real submission paths, such as mail or in-person appointments.
Is a picture of my passport enough?
An image helps with preliminary review. You may still need to present the original or an issuing-agency-certified copy.
What does CAA mean?
A Certifying Acceptance Agent may authenticate certain documents under a current agreement. Authority depends on applicant and document type.
How do I arrange professional fees?
Confirm services and fees with the independent provider before hiring them. The provider sets and collects its fees. There is no taxpayer checkout in Quick ITIN Connect.
What information goes into an introduction request?
Only your contact details and communication preferences. Do not include SSNs, ITINs or tax documents. Your confirmation shows the selected provider, your reference and whether the request was delivered or saved without delivery.
